Online Meeting
Join us for the WVOP Networking Hour, where we invite strong members of the veteran community to come and speak about services available to all our veterans. This week we invite two guests, Jeff Daly and Jere Romano from the American Legion to speak with us (bios below).
Topic: The importance of diverse representation in male dominated organizations
Jeff Daly is Commander of American Legion Hollywood Post 43, as well as the Membership Director for the Department of California and the host of the “Tango Alpha Lima” podcast of The American Legion National Headquarters. The thing that is common with all of these positions is that Jeff must constantly think about the mission and future of the American Legion and how diversifying the membership is key to long term survival.
Jeff is a Marine Corps veteran from the Great Lake State of Michigan. He studied Economics and Political Science at Kalamazoo College, a small liberal arts college in Michigan
Jere Romano has been a member of The American Legion for 12 years and is a Paid Up For Life member. His eligibility is based on his 6 years of honorable service with the United States Marine Corps.
He is a police captain responsible for 50 members and manages a $6 million operational budget. His Legion career has been fast paced: 4 yrs as Ronald Reagan-Palisades 284, District Commander, LACC Commander, and most recently as California State Commander.Jere Romano has been a member of The American Legion for 12 years and is a Paid Up For Life member.
