Women Veterans Day

Leave a Note for Your Veteran Sisters

Women Veterans Day is observed Saturday, June 12. We’ve created this safe space to share encouragement with your veteran sisters. Leave a note below to show your appreciation and love!

Women Veterans Day celebrates the integration of women to serve as regular members in the military. This relatively new holiday was established May 5th, 2017 by Representative Victoria Neave with House Bill 2698. Women Vets on Point will mark this day with a virtual celebration and by hosting notes of appreciation to female veterans on this page.

Join our virtual celebration this Thursday at 4:30 P.M. and scroll down to leave your note of love and encouragement. We’ll share selected notes to our social media and at the virtual event!

Where do I began? Thank you for your bravery, commitment, service, love, support, all that you are and all that you will become. Thank you. To our sisters in arms, your bravery astonishes me, truly a gift to sacrifice yourselves in the name of service to others. The highest honor is commitment to serve and protect, thank you. On your special day may you all know, how truly special you are and recognize the courage it took to sign on that dotted line. Thank You!! Keep it going!! 🙂

I would like to say Thank You to all the Women Veterans for Serving our Country. I know we don’t get recognize for our ability to be who we are as Strong Women who can play many roles in life and that is Mothers, Soldiers, Partners, Friend, Teachers, etc… and the list goes on. But as who we are, we all need to stand up and be proud of who we have became in the military and also as a civilian . So I want to salute you all a big Thank You for being who you are and apart of my life. And some of the women I would like to honor is Rocio Palmiro, Whitley Crawford, Mika D, Suji, Dr. Kathy Cash, Dr. Gates, Drill Sergeant Perkins, for being a great inspiration in my life and for being so supportive and understanding, and caring, and being there for me. You all will always hold a special place in my heart.

Courage does not always mean the roar
It can sometimes be the little voice,
It means that you have that spirit
To say things that are on your mind
Courage is not a thing to find
    You have that in you,
You just have to find it for you
So that you can see the change
You can see the very new
Find that in you! -Author Unknown
